The short version
1099generator.com runs entirely in your browser. We do not receive, store, or transmit your tax information, your contractor names, your TINs, the amounts you paid, or any other data you enter into this site.
What we do collect
- Nothing about your tax data. Payer details, recipient details, payment amounts — none of this leaves your browser. The PDF generation and ZIP bundling happen on your device.
- Your payer details are stored in your browser's localStorage so you don't have to re-type them next time. They never leave your browser. You can clear them at any time via your browser's "Clear site data" option.
- License key verification sends only the license key to Gumroad (our payment processor) so we can confirm you've purchased access. We never see what you do with the unlocked download.
- Basic anonymous traffic counters may be collected by Cloudflare (the company that hosts this site). Cloudflare sees that someone visited the site from a given country and IP; they don't see your form data.
What we do NOT do
- We do not have a backend server that receives or stores your tax data.
- We do not use analytics that track individuals (no Google Analytics, no Facebook Pixel, no third-party ad trackers).
- We do not sell, share, or rent any information about you. There is nothing to sell.
- We do not file your 1099 with the IRS on your behalf — that's by design. You print and file yourself, or use an authorized transmitter.
Cookies
This site uses localStorage (a kind of browser storage) to remember your payer details and that your license key has been verified. It does not use tracking cookies. You can clear localStorage via your browser's site-data settings.
Your rights
Because we don't hold your data on our servers, requests under GDPR, CCPA, or other privacy laws to "delete my data" are satisfied by clearing your browser's site data — there is no copy elsewhere for us to remove.

Changes to this policy
If we materially change this policy, we'll update the date at the bottom. We'll never retroactively expand what we collect.
